Throughout the month of February, school captains and school leaders were inducted during special ceremonies held in local schools right across the electorate of Moggill
At Moggill State School, Dr Christian Rowan MP, the local State Member for Moggill, facilitated students in undertaking the 2020 School Captain and House Leadership Pledge.
After presenting the 2020 School Captains, Maxx Bendit, Veronica Ciobo, Herry Ember, and Lucy Wren, with their Captain’s badge, Dr Rowan paid tribute to the incredible potential of this year’s school leaders.
“We are fortunate to have exceptional students who have outstanding leadership qualities, which they will continue to develop with the guidance of their parents, teachers, and significant others.” Dr Rowan said.
In congratulating the 2020 School Captains, Moggill State School Principal, Mr Nathan Freeman, said there was much to look forward to for the school year ahead.
“I would like to congratulate our 2020 school captains. They were elected by their peers and the staff at Moggill because we believe they have the attributes to make a positive difference to our school- to continue our tradition of outstanding student leaders.
“2020 promises to be another exciting year at Moggill; we have in place a diverse range of academic, cultural, sporting and social program opportunities for the school community in which to engage.
“I am looking forward to leading our school community into the next chapter of its 154 year history of excellence.” Mr Freeman said.
