Residents from across Brookfield and beyond came to the Brookfield Showgrounds for a day of high fashion and fun, and to watch the Melbourne Cup
This special Brookfield Show Society Melbourne Cup Luncheon was a galloping success, with all seats sold out and attendees taking part in a day full of activities including various sweeps and raffles, with all proceeds that were raised going towards the showgrounds.
State Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, joined with local residents in thanking the Brookfield Show Society for making such an event possible.
“The Melbourne Cup Luncheon would not have been possible without the incredible hard work and dedication of Brookfield Show Society President Cath Fullerton, and Vice President Kate Kirkman, and their team of volunteers working behind the scenes.
“Locals frocked up to enjoy a laugh, some raffles and a flutter on the horses.
“The real winner today was our great local community, and I can’t wait to join residents for the upcoming Annual Bush Christmas, with live entertainment, rides and activities on for families all to enjoy.”
